Pick Me Up 2012...

A few of our highlights from this years Pick Me Up.

Kibbo Kift

The first late night at Pick Me up was hosted Kibbo Kift, a night of art, poetry and music. Our highlight of the night was undoubtedly the curious and surreal poems of Matthew the Horse an incredibly funny and talented linguist.

Peepshow Collective's Museum of Objects & Origins…

This year artists in resident Peepshow Collective have created a curious museum esque collection housing an array of artefacts including drawings, objects, prints and costumes. From the colourful characters of Chrissie Macdonald to the graphic prints of Luke Best this collective present an absolute feast for the eyes.

Sarah Maycock

We were blown away by the beautiful work of Sarah Maycock. Her painterly illustrations are created by some of the most exquisite mark making we've seen.

A Two Pipe Problem

As big fans of traditional techniques we instantly fell head over heels with the work of Stephen Kenny aka A Two Pipe Problem. Mixing traditional letterpress with a hint of magic his prints have a stunning timeless quality.

Kristjana S Williams

A opulent mix of Victorian prints, bright colours and gold leafing make the work of Kristjana S Williams a fantasy world we would love to loose ourselves in.

The Stew House...

This weekend we attended the Stew House run by the fabulous Tinker Tailor aka Adam & Katie. Set in the arches in an old disused gallery the talented pair transformed the space into a temporary Victorian feast. With the most excellent food, set design and stunning artwork from Dan Hillier we were literally in our element. Gin, top hats and crows, what more could we ask for!
