We have been nominated for the 2010 Young Illustrators Award.
'The Swatch Young Illustrators Award, the world’s most important prize for contemporary illustration, will be awarded on November 5th at Direktorenhaus, Berlin. The nominees and the guests from the international creative industries are being welcomed with a grand gala dinner. The jury, consisting of renowned publicists and art experts, will present prizes to the winners in the categories of illustration, animation and book art.
This unique event, initiated by Illustrative, invites exchange between artists, art directors, journalists and creatives allowing discussion and celebration of illustration in its widest sense. The night includes performances, the new exhibition and of course further surpri- ses that culminate in an afterparty. It promises to be a glittering night for the international illustration community. The Direktorenhaus, developed by Illustrative’s initiators Pascal Johanssen and Katja Kleiss as a space for contemporary applied arts and experimental design in Berlin, serves as the perfect setting.
The Illustrators Night is an alluring foretaste of what’s to come at Illustrative, the biggest festival for contemporary illustration and graphic arts, which will take place for the sixth time in May 2010, in Berlin.'
Shocked, overwhelmed & honoured to be involved we will be exhibiting our work alongside some of the best up and coming illustrators in Europe. As soon as we work out how on earth to pack a giant sea creature into a suitcase we're off to Berlin! This is sure to be an adventure.
